Every Fall the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme selects local artists and craftspeople to create art pieces for people to enjoy while wandering the grounds of the museum. The theme of this year was fairy houses that used some of the elements from the site. Our installation was located under and in a great old black walnut tree. The idea was that the fairies were using the black walnuts to produce ink in their small timber frame structure. There was a series of ladders and pulleys set up as well to help with the walnut harvest. We had great fun with this one.
